  • IP address: To detect suspicious activity, enhance site security, and improve performance (via Hostinger, Cloudflare, and Wordfence)
  • Browser type and version: To optimize the site for different browsers
  • Device information: To ensure the site works properly on various screen sizes and devices

Retention period:

  • Hostinger, Cloudflare, and Wordfence may temporarily retain personal data (such as IP addresses and other metadata), and I have no direct control over the storage or deletion of this data. To exercise your data protection rights, please refer to their respective privacy policies (links above).

  • IP address: To detect suspicious activity and reduce the risk of fraud
  • Country: To determine available payment methods
  • First name, last name, country, tax identification number (NIF): To declare received donations as required by Portuguese law (for filling out the "Modelo 1 do Imposto de Selo" document)
  • Email address: To contact donors in case of issues with the donation
  • Payment information (such as debit/credit card details, PayPal account, etc.): To process the payment
  • Optional message: To allow donors to provide additional information (if they wish)

  • Performance of a contract (donation)
  • Consent (by voluntarily entering personal data, checking the box to accept the privacy policy, and clicking "Confirm Donation")
  • Legitimate interest (to resolve donation issues and declare received donations according to Portuguese law)

Retention period:

  • Until you request its removal, by contacting me. If you do, the data will be deleted only on my end. However, third-party services may keep backups of your data, usually for a limited period. Please refer to their respective privacy policies (linked above) for more details.

Other information

    • Necessary Cookies (Complianz, Stripe, Paypal, WordPress, Woocommerce): they are all the cookies necessary for the functioning of the site (and, thus, you cannot reject them). Here I use the cookies from Complianz (which store your cookie preferences), from Stripe and PayPal (which prevent payment fraud), and from WordPress and WooCommerce (which keep your session active, store products in your cart, and display the currency and payment methods based on your country).
    • Cookies of Anonymous Statistics (Google Analytics) I use Google Analytics cookies, which store information about how you use this site (anonymously), so I can improve the website and create more of your favorite content. These cookies are optional.
    • Marketing Cookies (YouTube) The only marketing cookies I use are from YouTube, which YouTube uses to store your preferences, ensure security, collect statistics, and display ads. You can only watch YouTube videos on this website if you accept these cookies. These cookies are optional.

    • Purpose: Donations are intended to cover all my personal and professional expenses, allowing me to create more and more content that benefits everyone. 
    • Non-refundable: Donations are non-refundable.
    • Liability: I always comply with all applicable laws but I'm not responsible for technical failures (e.g., payment platform issues or general computer system failures).
    • Tax Declaration: In accordance with Portuguese law, donations will be reported to tax authorities through the submission of the "Modelo 1 do Imposto de Selo" document, when applicable.
    • Data Processed: When you donate, some personal data will be collected and processed according to the Privacy Policy above.
